After a very busy summer, we’re back in Kona! We spent 2 months this summer back east in Ontario, NY & Michigan and we had 66 appointments with friends & family sharing about how we’re serving with YWAM Ships Kona.
It was an amazing time of reconnecting with old friends, supporters, speaking in new churches & making new connections. Out of that we gained a whole bunch of new partners in our ministry & came back refreshed and ready to tackle the next season here in Kona.

FAMILY TIME
Before we left for the summer we were encouraged to balance our time raising support with time for the family. We focused most of our appointments in June & July. In August we took some time for the family before returning to Kona.
In early August we celebrated Nick’s brother’s wedding. We also got to see his sister & brother-in-law and their 2 kids who came out from Western Australia.
Right after the wedding we jumped on a plane and stopped in southern California for 10 days before coming back to Kona. We got to show the kids where we met in Ensenada and met up with some old friends who are still serving with YWAM in San Diego, Tijuana & Ensenada. It was a nice break after a long summer of traveling.
m/v YWAM LIBERTY:
The YWAM Liberty is still undergoing its engine surveys in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Work has been delayed and we expect to have her back in action by January 2020.
We’ve taken our teams inland and have been doing medical outreaches up in Mt. Hagen in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.

Our newest vessel – The YWAM Koha is underway. She will be spending the next 6-8 months traveling around New Zealand raising support to head out to serve the islands of the South Pacific. Check out the short video
